Swedish Massage

This is the classic massage that is used for relaxation, pain relief, and general wellbeing. It is based on the use of 5 basic techniques (as defined in WebMD What Is a Swedish Massage? (webmd.com):

Effleurage: Long, sweeping strokes that help warm up the muscles and prepare them for deeper work.
Petrissage: Kneading, rolling, and squeezing the muscles to release tension.
Tapotement: Rhythmic tapping or pounding to stimulate the muscles.
Friction: Deep, circular movements that help break down adhesions and improve flexibility.
Vibration: Shaking or vibrating movements to relax and loosen muscles

Generally, a Swedish Massage is very relaxing, and we can still help with some pain and discomfort.
Additionally, I will include additional relaxation techniques such as a Hawaiian style massage call Lomi Lomi in which forearms and elbows are used in a relaxing way.
